Once Upon A Time... Elder Humpherys

Dear Family and Friends,

Meet some of my best friends! My companion Elder Hulterstrom, Elder Hammond, and Elder Rolfson. Wow. I just love serving with these 4! They are amazing. I am just so grateful for my time. We went to the national slate museum last p-day and it is way more exciting then it sounds..

Real quick.. A big shout to MUM

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM! IT'S THE BIG #35....
I know it's her 35th birthday :) She is so lucky! :) Thanks for being the best Mum in the whole entire world! I wouldn't be here without her.

Shout out to mum!

So we had an amazing week! There are amazing things happening here and I just wish I could tell you them all! We have 2 investigators set for baptism and they are incredible! I absolutely love them and I am so grateful for them! I'll never forget the experiences I've shared as I have taught them. You know it is one of the best feelings to have someone understand with their heart what Jesus Christ did for them. I was able to see that in someone this week and as they realized it, I learned more about my Saviour then I did before. It was an amazing feeling. Don't we all want magical experiences like that? I can promise you if you just invited someone to learn about this gospel and the joy and peace that it can bring your testimony of the Saviour will increase faster than any other thing!

On another note we had a beautiful sunset last night and I just had to photograph this gem:

Gorgeous. I love living here.

Here is my last pictures. Two new friends that I made this week! These two are pretty hilarious! They travel back to their home tomorrow. They are related to some members here!

Haha. Great times! Well I love you all so much and I hope you are all enjoying your week! Stay Strong and Press on!

Love,
Elder Humpherys

Gaerwen Area. (A.K.A. Heaven on Earth.) August 11, 2014

First of all: I AM NO LONGER A TENNAGER! ahhhhh!!

Yup! You guessed it! 20 years old this week. I can't believe how fast time flies! I mean seriously. 2 years ago I was about to start university? What the crazy!? But now here I am. In the best place in the world. Where miracles happen every. single. day. I just absolutely love being here and serving these wonderful people!

These are some of my best friends. Otherwise known as the DREAM TEAM. Elder Hulterstrom, Elder Humpherys, Elder Hammond and Elder Rolfson! Wow! What a wonderful set of missionaries we have serving here in the Gaerwen Ward. I love these people! They are so great. We all work really hard and definitely have our "eye single to the glory of God."
We had some really great things this week. There was a baptism on my birthday (not of someone I taught unfortunately..) but we took Hanna to it and she loved it! She is amazing and I feel so lucky to teach her and all of our other investigators! Our other friend, Kris, read and prayed about the Book of Mormon and he found out it was true! I am soo happy for him! Wonderful things going on!

And here I am with all of my nieces and nephews silhouettes that they sent me for my birthday! I love them! :) THANKS! :)

And my last gem! Here is me and a few new friends. I feel like I am back at Pine Basin! Which is almost as great as being a missionary. :)

I love you all so much! Thanks for taking the time to read. Now that you've read this, I challenge you to invite one of your friends to look at www.mormon.org.uk. Will you do this? It'll make you feel happy and good! I promise! Do you want to feel happy and good? DO IT. :)

Love you.

lkYr wyf yn ddisgybl i Iesu Grist with Elder Humpherys

This week has been amazing! I have loved training! It is great. Elder Hulterstrom is quite a confident missionary and is doing great! We are seeing looooaadds of miracles.
First I will start with a picture:

This is my new son! Elder Hulterstrom! He is from Sweden. To the right is my wonderful trainer Elder Peterson. GENERATION PICTURE. I was doing a lot at that time so I may look like I am coming apart. Sorry about that! :)

He is amazing. He Is from Sweden and he does ParCor! CHECK OUT HIS YOUTUBE VIDEO. Type in Elder Hulterstrom on youtube and he'll pop up :)

Next:

This is Brother Thornton and I! He such an amazing member!! I am learning a lot from the people here.

WARD ACTIVITY!!! A lot of the local youth from around Gaerwen came and joined it! It was great!!! I conducted a small youth choir for a part of it. It was so fun! And Sister Griffiths made some delicious chocolate and banana cheesecake! MMM!!

Elder Hammond and I! We are training together in Gaerwen! He is from St. Anthony and he knows my friend Challis from when they were little kids! He's a great Elder and super kind! (Does anyone agree I should just shave my head.. my hair is so gross! haha)

Before Transfers we had "Train the Trainers" where all the trainers meet with the Mission President. IT. WAS. AMAZING. Wow. I love training and I love our mission president! It was wonderful. To the right is Elder Gourrat the Tahitian king and to the left is Elder Cueva. They are both spiritual giants.. and then there is just me. Giant! hahahahah. Just kidding. I love them both so much though!

I just hope you know that I love this place so much. I know that Jesus Christ loves us. I know that God is real and if we just accept the gospel into our lives we can feel more happy than ever before.

I love you all so much and hope you know that I truly do appreciate all of those who have influenced my life. YOU ARE ALL AMAZING.

QUICK SHOUT OUT TO SPENCER FITZGERALD who has left on his mission and to Elder (Ben) Johnson.. who I am pretty sure is still in the MTC waiting to come to the EMM. The best mission in the world.. and if my knowledge is correct he will be serving in MIDDLETON!! hahaha I served their for 6 months!! CRAZY.

I'm expecting? Haha say what? July 28, 2014

Okay in approximately 2 days I will be father to a new missionary! ;) I am training again... Surprised? Ya. Me too!

This week was crazy so I don't have much to say and I am really sorry about that but to all my lovely readers out there I want to say one thing.

I am so grateful for my family. That they are all faithful members of the church. My parents, all my brothers and sisters, and their kids.. I have seen so many blessings come from living the gospel of Jesus Christ. Growing up in a Christ centered home gave me more opportunities then any amount of money could. I love my family and I just miss them a lot!

I know that having faith in Jesus Christ and then repenting and being baptized in His name for the remission of sins and to receive the gift of the holy ghost is the true pathway to happiness! I will never stand down from that statement! I know it is true and I will dare anyone to put it to the test!

I love my mission. I love Jesus Christ. I love just being alive!

9. We had 9 nonmembers at church on Sunday!
