Slippery Slugs...

So this week we were doing service for someone and we saw this GIANT slug. Oh my heavens, it was DISGUSTING. So, we tried to avoid it. We were painting a little shed and my companion stepped to the right and his foot landed right on the slug and he almost did the splits!! It was soooo funny. I have never heard of anyone slipping on a slug.
This week was so wonderful. We saw many miracles. One of our investigators told us, through his tears, how grateful he was for good people in his life. It touched my heart and I had to hold back tears myself. I wish all of you could be here. I can't really explain the full situation because it's personal to him.. but I am just so grateful to be laboring among these people at this time. I love them so much. Even when they reject us.

I really love the gospel. I am so grateful for the testimony that I have been given through the power of the Holy Ghost. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else but here.

I love you all and you are all beautiful wonderful people!!!

Thank you for all of your righteous examples.

#BecauseofHim

This week has been so fun. Oh boy! I am soo tired though. Does anyone have any good idea's of how to get more energy throughout the day? because I feel like soo tired all the time! haha.

So. This week was pretty great. Let me just tell you something wonderful.

I GOT AN EGG THROWN AT ME. ha. It was hilarious! I was on an exchange with Elder Kunzler! (A great missionary from Idaho. He is amazing and so nice! He helped me out a lot!) And we were just laughing soo hard.

I had a district meeting on Tuesday which was a bit intense because someone from the new mission presidency attended and the zone leaders came to do their evaluation. It went really well but gee whiz! One and a half hours is not long enough for a district meeting! haha. I always run out of time. We went to tea at the Ramsey's house that night and they made us some delicious polish food! I love the Ramsey's they are wonderful people and I am thankful for their kindness!

On Wednesday we did some service for a nice couple. We painted their shed. I LOVE DOING SERVICE. It is soo great and it feels so good! :)

This Friday.. I lost my wallet.. or it got stolen! Whichever little rascal stole my wallet I would really appreciate it if you turned it in or gave it back! Haha. It's not to big of a deal.. just everything is gone.

Saturday we had a tea appointment with Sister Barber. She is a wonderful member and I was able to meet some of her family members that are visiting here from Australia. It was great.

Well family and friends..

Because of Jesus Christ I know that there is purpose to my life.
Because of Him I know that I can be with my family forever.
Because of Him I will walk by faith.
Because of Him I will be courageous and kind.

#BecauseofHim I know I can live with my Heavenly Father once more.

A Rubik's Cube Life for me

You know, I could never put Rubik's together! They are always a big puzzle and sometimes that is how life feels. Haha. You have a big crazy mash of things to do and sometimes you don't know how you are going to put everything together.. I do know that there is a pattern you can use to help you put a rubik's cube in the right state. WE also have a pattern to follow.. That is the life and teachings of Jesus Christ! True story.
I love my mission. Nothing much happened this week just pray for us! We definitely need it. I hope you are all doing well and I just know that good things come to those who wait!

"The gospel is not weight - it is wings! It carries us." Jean A. Stevens.

Well! This has been great.

I loved conference! It was truly inspiring. It really helped me out a lot and I KNOW  that this is Christ's church.

I don't have much to say this week. Mainly because I am really tired and I am running out of time. But I love you all so much. You are all wonderful and I have just one invitation for all of you..

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we should be striving to help our fellow men. I was inspired by conference and felt that we must be more loving to our brothers and sisters. Will you serve someone each day? It doesn't have to be a grand display of kindness. But, be thoughtful. A compliment, a kind gesture, a phone call, or maybe an invitation.. I promise you that as you make it a habit to serve other people and to SHOW them love, you will begin to understand and feel more deeply kind of love that our Saviour has for us. I promise. I know it to be true.

I love you all,

Elder Humpherys

I smell transfers! And it smells like.. Tahiti?

Dear Family and Friends,

This week was superb! We had a great week full of things like talking to people and sharing the gospel and talking to more people and sharing the gospel. I love being a missionary. This is the best work in the whole wide world! Sounds cliche yes. But it's true.

So, I am so hungry right now and It's really all I can think about. I should really eat before I e-mail..

Well, transfer calls were this week and... *drum rolls* I'M STAYING. I'm so happy. Elder Doherty will be heading of to the blessed land of Blackpool and I will be getting a new companion from *drum rolls again...* TAHITI!! I am soooo excited. All though I have know idea who he is and what he's like or how old he is or.... ya. none of that stuff. But, it should be good!

Sheesh! I could really use some chicken right now or something. I am seriously soo hungry!

Let's see... this week we taught our new friend.. we'll call him Peter because I don't know if I am allowed to use his real name or not. So Peter is fascinating! He has so many questions and i'll be honest.. sometimes i don't know what to say. I can answer questions that are more personal like "what can I do to be happier?" or "how can I find an answer to my prayer?" But when it comes to questions about crazy stuff like doctrine wise, my knowledge isn't perfect. Sooo.. I will miss Elder Doherty for the fact that he has an amazing ability to "teach for understanding." But, Peter came on a church tour the other day and had fun. Hopefully we can get him out to church.

I think that this one of the hardest things about being a missionary is getting people to come to church. So if you could all pray that Me and Elder Gourratt will get some people to church this week we would appreciate that!!!

Love you looooaadds!
